Potty chart

I recently doodled a potty chart for Oki, which I've turned into an illustration. He wants to see a worm and a millipede on the potty instead of the cat and the duck. I dislike millipedes even more than I dislike worms, so this could be a problem...

Stars

Flicking through a Japanese book of birds with my boy the other day, we came upon a "Hoshigarasu" (literally translated, a "Star crow", but I think it might be a spotted nutcracker or something). 

"I wonder why it's called a "Star crow?" I asked, to which he replied "Because he eats stars". How lovely :)

Old songs and raindrops

I'm glad I jot things down from time to time as I have no memory of Oki saying this:

"It's an old song. It's covered in dust and bats". I've no idea what he was talking about!
